6.1 With Other Users
Certain data in your startup profile, including your company name, description, and relevant metrics, may be visible to other registered users of the Platform, including investors, depending on your account settings and tier. You acknowledge and accept this visibility when using the Platform.

7.1 Types of Cookies
- Strictly necessary cookies: required for the Platform to function properly, including authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be disabled without affecting core functionality
- Analytics and performance cookies: used to understand how visitors interact with the Platform, measure performance, and identify areas for improvement. These may be set by us or by our analytics providers
- Third-party cookies: certain third-party tools integrated into the Platform, such as our customer support chat widget and analytics scripts, may set their own cookies or use similar technologies
7.2 Managing Cookies
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality and performance of the Platform. Where required by applicable law, we obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies.
8. Third-Party Service Providers
We use a limited set of trusted third-party providers to operate the Platform. The following describes the main categories and named providers:
8.1 Cloud Hosting and Infrastructure
We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host the Platform, store user-uploaded content (such as images, logos, and files), and run certain media rendering operations. AWS processes uploaded files, associated metadata, and technical log data (including IP addresses and timestamps) as our data processor, in accordance with our instructions. Data may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries where AWS operates. We rely on the performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interest in maintaining secure and reliable infrastructure as the legal basis for this processing.
8.2 Analytics
We use Google Analytics and similar web analytics services to understand how visitors use the Platform and to improve our product and marketing. These services collect technical information such as IP address, device and browser data, pages visited, and user interactions. This data is typically aggregated. Depending on your jurisdiction, we rely on your consent or on our legitimate interest in understanding Platform usage as the legal basis. Data may be processed in the United States. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
8.3 Customer Support
We use Tawk.to, a third-party live chat service, to provide customer support. When you use the chat widget, Tawk.to may process the content of your messages and certain technical information (IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited) to deliver the support functionality. We rely on the performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interest in providing effective support as the legal basis. Data may be processed outside the EEA. For details, see Tawk.to's privacy notice.
8.4 Payment Processing
Payments on the Platform are processed by one or more authorized third-party payment processors. When you make a payment, your billing information is submitted directly to the payment processor and is governed by their privacy policy. We receive transaction confirmation data (such as payment status and subscription period) but do not store full payment card details.
8.5 Link Previews and Location Services
We use third-party services to generate link previews for URLs submitted on the Platform and to convert geographic coordinates into readable location names (such as country or city) for location-based features. These services may receive the relevant URL or coordinates and associated technical request data. We rely on the performance of our contract and our legitimate interest in providing a better user experience as the legal basis.
8.6 Media and Font Delivery
The Platform may load media content, including video thumbnails and font resources, from third-party providers such as Google or YouTube. When such content is loaded, these providers may receive standard technical information from your device, including IP address and browser type. We rely on our legitimate interest in providing a consistent visual experience as the legal basis.
8.7 Other Providers
We may engage additional third-party providers for hosting, security, logging, email delivery, and similar operational functions. All such providers are required to process personal data only as instructed and to maintain appropriate security measures. Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards including data processing agreements and, for international transfers, standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
8.8 Artificial Intelligence Providers
The Platform uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to power features including investor-startup matching, fundraising recommendations, introduction message generation, and startup profile analysis. To deliver these features, certain data you provide — including startup profile information, business metrics, and pitch deck content — may be transmitted to and processed by third-party AI service providers ("AI Providers"). These are specialized technology companies that provide large language model and machine learning infrastructure.
The following conditions apply to AI processing of your data:
- We do not identify AI Providers by name in this Policy, as providers may change over time. We use only providers that operate under data processing agreements consistent with applicable privacy laws, including, where applicable, the GDPR.
- We take contractual and technical measures to ensure that AI Providers use your data solely to generate the specific output requested by us, and are not permitted to use your data to train, fine-tune, or improve their own general-purpose models.
- Pitch deck content, financial metrics, and other business materials you submit for AI-assisted features may be included in requests sent to AI Providers. You should avoid submitting information you consider strictly confidential if you do not wish it to be processed in this manner.
- AI-generated outputs (such as match recommendations, draft introduction messages, or fundraising suggestions) are advisory only. They do not constitute investment, financial, or legal advice, and their accuracy is not guaranteed.
- If you do not wish your data to be processed by AI Providers, you may refrain from using AI-assisted features. Core Platform functionality — such as profile creation and browsing — does not require AI processing of your personal data.
We rely on the performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interest in providing AI-powered features as the legal basis for this processing.
9. International Data Transfers
Unicorns VC Inc. is based in the United States. If you use the Platform from the EEA, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data transfer restrictions, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.
Where required by applicable law, we implement appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, data processing agreements, or other mechanisms permitted under applicable law.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Platform and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance with financial record-keeping requirements).
Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and business intelligence purposes.
11. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS), access controls, and use of reputable cloud infrastructure.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. If you become aware of a security vulnerability or breach related to the Platform, please notify us promptly at [email protected].
12. Your Rights
12.1 General Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction and applicable law, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- Right of access: to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification: to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- Right to erasure: to request deletion of your personal data, subject to applicable exceptions

We will respond to your request within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally within 30 days, with a possible extension for complex requests). We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.

13. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us at [email protected].
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Platform with a new effective date, or by sending you an email notification.
Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the updated Privacy Policy, you should discontinue use of the Platform.
